29 year old male, falsely accused of rape - Here's his story

Hi! I am a 29 year old male who was falsely accused of rape when I was a minor. When I was 17 yrs old I got accused of raping a 16 year old female. But the thing is I didn't rape her! We have never engaged in any type of sexual activity. I am writing you because I have a family now and I am in desperate need of getting my story heard so that my name can be cleared!
 
Prior to this night, Latoya (name withheld) had been pursuing me for years. On the night that I supposedly raped her she had consensual sex with one of my friends, whom of which was also at my house. I later learned that she snuck out of her house that night, got in trouble with her parents, and ultimately put the blame on me.
 
During court, Latoya let her mother do all of the talking instead of speaking up and telling the truth. I could not afford my lawyer therefore he insisted that I take the plea bargain, otherwise I could have been facing a 15 year sentence in prison.
 
This experience has been very life changing even though it was 12 years ago. I am struggling to provide for my family (my wife and daughter) because I can’t keep a job, and as a result we keep getting evicted from our apartments/houses. At the end of each year, I have at least 15 to 20 W2's for my taxes because I keep getting fired. Continuously getting fired has been very frustrating for me because I have attended college for three years and I still am not able to obtain a job. The most devastating part of it all is that I have to register as a sex offender for the rest of my life!
 
The question that I ask is: What would you do if you were me? Would you be able to handle this punishment for a crime that you didn’t commit?
 
All I want Latoya (name withheld) to do is take a lie detector test so the truth will be known and my name will be cleared! I have made several attempts to accomplish this goal via The Steve Wilko Show, Judge Mathis, Judge Pirro, Tyra Banks but she has declined every offer and repeatedly changes her phone number.
 
I thank you in advance for taking the time out to read this. I also pray that this email has touched your heart and has moved you to help me accomplish my goal. I am more than willing to provide you with in depth details, because I have nothing to hide.

    I will try and search for sex life of lawyers, judges, and even police officers. I will definitely be able to find out that there are sex offenders among them. I will publish all with the evidences. And I will fight against them too.

Hi my name is wendy and this is my husbands story. ever since i met him he has been strugling with this case . he has been strugling to keep or get a job he cant even find a job at mcdonnalds is sad he cant even get an apartment because of that we have been kick out of apartments so many times because of this case because people is not seeing him or what king of person he is people is just assuming he is a rapist when in reality thats not the case he was charge with having sex with a minor wish i dont understand because at the time she was 16 and he was 17 years old to me thats almost the same age how can the law let this happen is not fair for someone to have to strugle the way he has because one he didnt have sex with her and two they were both minors the law needs to change because this affects people is hard to support our family when he keeps losing his jobs, cant even keep a home because were getting kicked out for something he shouldnt have i pray to god that someone helps him because this is killing him he suffers and screams for help because he didnt do anything with the girl and the girl wasnt under age i just hope someone will help him because this isnt fair

  4. Hello My name is Chantel,
    I am a long time friend of the young man spoken about. I was a friend of his when this case was being processed. We were children, and it was a shame that he did not have an adult there for him to guide him to a better decision involving this matter. I hope he and his family can find a way to have this taken off his record. I feel that a lie detector would resolve this. It is terrible that an innocent man has to suffer a lifetime for a crime he did not commit.

  5. Hello I have known the accused and the alleged victim for more than half of all of our lives! I am a true rape and molestation victim and if taking a lie detector test proved I was telling the truth I'd take the test with no problems or hesitations! The accused young man is very handsome and has always been a ladies man with no reason to touch or harm a lady for that matter in any wrong manner! I pray that the justice system does not fail this young man and give his family and he back their lives!

  6. Hello I have been friends with accused for wellt over half our lives, and I know for a fact that committing such a hanus crime is totally beneath him. He had no need to do anything of the sort. And, I just hate to see what this world is coming to when a women would accuse a man of such a serious crime which would and has effected his entire life just for the approval of her parents. Just hearing this like this makes mankind as a whole look absolutely pitiful

On a Personal Note

Thanks for the opportunity to express my thoughts regarding the issue of citizens’ rights, particularly addressing certain sex offenders’ crimes that do not fit the devastating, inequitable and endless punishment given.


As you know, many young men and women lives across the nation are being destroyed by incarceration, life-time registry and restrictive laws that do more harm than good. For those individuals, there is no second chance.

Below is a personal letter to President Obama:

“Dear President Obama,

I truly agree with your sentiments that individuals, such as ex-felons, should be able to receive a second chance at life. Since we all know that one can veer off that path of life and travel along rough, rocky terrain, sometimes running off and ending up in some ditch. We all have made our fill of mistakes and sometimes those held a costly consequence that changed life forever. So we lived through it, trying harder to make things right with family, friends and those around us, but what about those who aren’t able to make things right even if they tried…because they’re labeled as too dirty, a leper, a person who is rejected from society and home.


But what if they’re a seventeen year old and had sex with a fifteen year old, consensual at that? Or they’re a teen that had gotten so enraged after a breakup that he sent out naked pictures of his girlfriend on his cell phone or email? Or an individual urinates where someone just happens to see them?


All are wrong and a travesty but do they deserve the life of no second chance with a registry that ends all. They are labeled, no jobs, no where to live…they have been deemed a menace to society, a plague. These certain circumstances, and many other situations similar to these, I believe still deserve a second change.

Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution


Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.


After my son’s early release and two years of prison, I thought I had handled that fact graciously knowing after serving his time he would be able to get that fresh start, that second chance. He was an exemplary inmate, GED, college courses and vocational classes. Little did I know that a second chance on the outside was the farthest from the truth? He now struggles and lives in a trailer park sharing a trailer with another and surrounded by others in the same rocking boat, one to float endlessly in shark infested waters. I see him little because of probation requirements (he couldn’t live with us because we were 800 feet near a school). My family is afraid of what would happen to them if he lived with them…vigilantism. My son has no other place to stay since others condemn him of his crime that is screamed from the highest rooftop. Sex offender, sex offender!

Not all sex offenders are pedophiles or predators but some are simply young kids that make one stupid and rash decision that eventually changes everything, and they have no idea what they’ve done until their life is never their own. Exactly, where is that second chance for those sex-offenders who are lumped together with pedophiles and predators? Now, it makes me sick to think of my son’s future and many like him that are on the registry and many with no second chance…ever. I am asking you as a mother and as another concerned citizen of the United States that these laws are looked at again and taken into serious consideration in what they are doing to the Constitution of the United States, not for sex offenders in general but the future rights of every citizen, before anymore are put into effect. They unjustly strip an offender of their rights and place them in a guillotine that can be easily set off by anyone and at anytime. Where is the second chance for ex-sex offenders in the present, pending and future laws?”

What truly saddens me is the weakness and deterioration of what the sex offense issue is doing to our once, great nation. Across Europe, others are seeing the injustice and disregard of rights, but we ignore this problem and it makes me wonder where humanity is heading….

We have become a hysterical society in which our latest witch-hunt is a sex offender--no matter his/her crime.

Below is a email sent from a foreign advocate to a father of a sex offender:

“The tragic story of your son's death is just so sad that it's difficult to explain how. It was very hard to read your letters. It seems almost unbelievable that this can take place in a democracy! From our point of view, there is no justice in this. Not in any way: not for you, your son, the former girl friend – or even the state.

It is an abusive legal system. It seems barbaric. And we are so very sorry that this takes place. That's why it's so important for us to try to neutralize the debate with this…, hopefully making some changes. ….. to show the every day life of the sex offenders, trying to show how they keep on being punished, even after served prison time…..But we will for sure tell the story of the injustice that your son has been exposed to.”

I appreciate everyone's commitment and backing to protect everyone's civil rights, plainly as noted in the Constitution of the United States and is presupposed, giving ALL men are “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.”
