"With about 42,500 sex offenders in Michigan, many of them in this region, the ability to instantly identify and remove them from our school buildings will create safer learning environments for our students," said DPS Inspector General Wilbert Van Marsh. "This is an effective system, used in dozens of school districts, hospitals, government and law enforcement agencies around the country, and we expect it will make a difference in our schools." The badges print in about 15 seconds and indicate which area of the school the visitor may have access to. The system also allows DPS to create its own database of people who are barred from entering school buildings.
In its winning bid for the project, SISCO has also provided the school system with a photo identification badge solution easily identifying students and staff. "This system will allow us to know exactly who is entering our schools buildings," said DPS Police Chief Roderick Grimes. "It offers us a high-tech way of keeping track of who is in our buildings, which is useful in cases of emergency."

Yes, I am so glad I can accommodate such a tax-wasting system for America's schools. Here's a novel idea--why not use that money with paying you and your employees, and give it back to the teachers. Wow, how about this; use it on supplies instead or your money-making scheme that was only induced by hysterical fear. If you are monitoring schools with this system then do me a favor and at least focus on the violent, repeating offenders and not the non-violent, low-risk, first-time the offender.
ReplyDeleteIt is only in knowledge of the real truth that American’s will see the travesty of AWA/SORNA and the injustice it has plagued to so many Americans, NO different than yourself. Find out the truth, dude, really. See how easy it is for you or any other American to be placed in this condemning category Inevitably one is stripped of every right and freedom that our country had once offered. Seek the truth before condemning the many who are youths themselves, and are chastised and shamed from simple acts of peeing in public to teenagers sexting friends. Registry for life at 15 or 16?? Sound far to you? You and every American need to view these offenders as though they are not the same as some vicious predators who are violent, repeats the offense and seeks out children for pleasure.
